On Sunday, October 13th, 2024, join the Bay Area community at The Great Northern and the 10 surrounding blocks to experience San Francisco’s Decompression – an urban version of the magic we left behind in Black Rock City.
What is Decompression?
For those new to the post-Burning Man vibes, Decompression (or Decom) is a regional gathering designed for Burners to “decompress” from their Playa experience. It’s a place to reignite the spark and celebrate the creativity, freedom, and radical self-expression that flourishes on the playa. Whether you’re longing for that final dust-off of your sequined boots or you just miss the electric energy of Black Rock City, **San Francisco Decompression** is the place to reignite the Burn.

VOLUNTEER: Build Black Top City with Us!
Just like the Burn, the beauty of Decompression is that it’s built by the people, for the people. We need volunteers to help create this legendary San Francisco event. From setup to tear down, every hand is needed to build the city and carry the spirit of the Burn forward.
